The team at Aussie 8 are constantly looking for ways to get outdoors, push their physical boundaries and explore the natural world’s less explored areas, that we’re so blessed to live in. The team are not professional athletes (actually a long way from it) however are on a mission to get people outside into the great outdoors, where they;re creating their very own adventures no matter how big or small!
Most recently, on the 21st April 2013, the lads (Luke, Ben & Pat) made history by completing the quickest consecutive assent, of the highest mountain in each state and territory of Australia, setting an unofficial world record of 8 days & 14 hours.
During their crazy adventures around Australia a strong friendship was formed and during the last climb in Queensland the team hatched an enthusiastic plan to set a record for running (and paddling) the nine great walks identified by the Department of Conservation in New Zealand – the team are now in serious planning and have coined the adventure – NZ9.
